Chairman & CEO
Roscoe C. Smith III is the Chairman & CEO of VerusMed where he is involved in all aspects of the company’s strategic direction and operations. Smith is also the CEO of Intellerus, LLC, the private investment firm that acquired VerusMed in February 2009. Smith is responsible for building VerusMed into a next-generation health care media company by leveraging information and interactive capabilities to build relationships and connect clients with targeted communities of health care professionals. Smith has spent over 30 years helping companies become more efficient and effective with their marketing investments. Prior to leading VerusMed, Smith was CEO of Agent Media, an integrated media and marketing services company serving the insurance and financial services industries. Prior experience includes serving as President of PBI Media, LLC, President of Knowledge Industry Publications, Inc. and Publisher of Architectural Record.
June D. Manning
Editor-in-Chief
June D. Manning has served as the editor-in-chief at VerusMed since 2003 after originally joining the company in 2000 as a medical writer. She oversees the development and delivery of all VerusMed clinical news briefs. Manning leads a team of 10 medical editors and writers, and is responsible for achieving the company's goals for timeliness, objectivity and relevance. She works closely with VerusMed's editorial advisory board of leading physicians and serves as the company's primary editorial spokesperson. Manning is responsible for developing new content services and creating information business strategies to engage new physician users. Prior to joining VerusMed, Manning was a news reporter for Aberdeen News in South Dakota and the Arizona Republic in Phoenix. She received her BA in journalism from Arizona State University and is a member of the American Medical Writers Association and the Association of Health Care Journalists.
Erika Maston
Program Manager
Erika Maston serves as the Program Manager for VerusMed and is responsible for the successful implementation of all program initiatives. Maston oversees new program set up and development; maintains and develops VerusMed’s extensive database of physicians, health care professionals and pharmaceutical executives; designs and implements all market research programs; and manages marketing and sales support functions. Prior to joining VerusMed, Maston was Marketing and Sales Director for a real estate investment firm, and has extensive experience in project management, sales and contract administration. Maston graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
